> Tereza, 77 ans, ancienne bouchère d'alligators, a vécu toute sa vie dans une petite ville industrielle d’Amazonie. Elle refuse d'être placée de force dans une colonie isolée pour personnes âgées. Elle s'échappe et traverse l'Amazonie en bateau, entamant une odyssée poétique et rebelle pour réaliser son rêve de voler.  Le film mêle politique et poésie, explorant la révolte, la vieillesse, la résistance face à une société qui veut les cacher, et une forme d'optimisme libérateur.
